9/30/2026 To The Point: Sharing Projects

Recently, I spent some time with a customer who was using SitePoint to lay out a large garage. While teaching one of his employees how to use the system, a question came up:

“How do I share this job with him so he can stake out the corners of the garage and spray paint?”

It’s a great question, and one that comes up anytime more than one person needs to work from the same project.

This week’s tip: Sharing a project with a team member

There may be times when another member of your crew needs access to a project or needs to continue working from their own device. Sharing a project in the Kinsman SitePoint app makes it easy to hand that work off without having to recreate the project on another device.

Instructions to sharing the project can be found here under “Exporting and importing an individual project”

There are two things to keep in mind when sharing a project.

First, each person will be working from their own copy of the project. Changes they make won’t automatically appear in your copy, so if you want to pick up where they left off, have them share the updated project back to you.

Second, the tools available to them will depend on their account. If they don’t have a Pro subscription, they won’t have access to Pro tools included with your account.
